How do I Customize Customer Number Generation?

Numbering your customer records is very important. This will help your to retrieve the record quickly and also lets you know the total number of customers you have.  There are two ways to number your customer records.
  • Manually - Here you have to manually enter the values each time you create a record.
  • Automatically -  Activate the auto numbering option in the customer App.

Lets quickly go over the steps.

Steps to Generate Custom Number

  1. Log in and access Customers App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on "More" icon and select “Settings” located at the app header bar.
  3. Select "Customers" drop down. Click on "Numbering" from left navigation panel.
  4. Enable "Auto Generate" by clicking on "Toggle ON" option and specify:
    • Prefix - Prefix should be added to Customer Number.
    • Starts with - Starting number of Customer.
    • For instance:
        1. Prefix - Cust_ABC.
        2. Starts with - 24
        3. So your Customer Number starts from "Cust_ABC24".
  5. You can also manually provide custom numbers by opting "Toggle OFF" for "Auto Generate".
  6. All your changes will be auto updated.
