If I add a new category in the future, will that category sync to google?

Category Sync will allow you to add new category in Contacts App, and simultaneously contact category will be created in Google.  Following steps will tell you how to sync categories with Google.

Steps to Create New Category to Sync in Google

  1. Log in and access Contacts App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on "More" icon and select "Settings" icon located at the app header bar.

  3. Select "Contacts" drop down. Click on "Categories" from left navigation panel.

  4. Click on "Create" button to create new category.
  5. The created category will be sync to Google groups.
  6. You can view the created category in Google group as shown in the image below:

Note: If you create group in Google, it will also be created as a category in Contacts App.
