How do I Customize Item Number Generation?

Indicate whether you want to manually specify or automatically generate Item number, while creating an item.

Steps to Generate Item number

1. Log in and access Items App from your universal navigation menu bar.
2. Click on "More" and "Settings" icon located at the app header bar.
   
3. Click on "Items" from the left navigation panel.
4. You can view "Numbering" as shown in the image below:
   
5. Enable "Auto Generate" by clicking on "Yes" option and specify:
   • Prefix - Prefix should be added to Item Number.
   • Starts with - Starting number of Item Number.
   • For instance:
     • You can choose either “Static Text” or “Year Of Item Date”.
     • If you choose static text, Prefix - Item_ABC and Starts with -1000
     • If you choose Year Of Item Date, Prefix would be current year and Starts with - 1000.
     • So your Item Number starts from "Item_ABC1000".
       
6. You can also manually provide custom numbers by toggle off the "Auto Generate".
