How do I Customize Cases Number Generation?

Indicate whether you want to manually specify or automatically generate case number while creating a case.

Steps to Case Number Generation

  1. Log in and access Cases App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on "More" icon and select “Settings located at the app header bar.
  3. Select "Lists" drop down and then Click on "Number Generation" from the left navigation panel.
  4. Enable "Auto Generate" by clicking on "Toggle ON" option and specify:
    • Prefix – Prefix should be added to Case number.
    • Starts with – Starting number of Case.
    • For instance:
        1. Prefix – Case_ABC.
        2. Starts with – 1000.
        3. So your candidate number starts from "Case_ABC1000".
  5. You can also manually provide custom numbers by opting "Toggle OFF" for "Auto Generate".
