How to map the Xero Tax codes with the Invoices app of Apptivo?
Updated on March 22, 2021 05:08AM by Admin
Apptivo enables you to integrate the Apptivo Invoices app with Xero. With this, you can map the tax codes from Apptivo with Xero to avoid multiple tax creation on Xero.
Click here to know how to enable integration with Xero.
Steps to map Xero tax codes
- Login and access the Ledger app. Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.
- On the Ledger’s Settings page, click on the Sync dropdown and select Xero Integration.
- From the Xero Integration page, click on the Connect to Xero button.
- You will be navigated to the Xero page where you can grant permission to Apptivo to access the necessary data.
- Your Apptivo account will be integrated with your Xero account.
- Enable the auto-sync Invoice toggle and add the Account details.
- Then, click on the Refresh button to get the Xero and Apptivo invoice taxes.
- Once you have clicked the Refresh button, you can view all Xero tax codes with the mapping dropdown.
- In the Apptivo Taxes drop down, you can view all the tax codes that are created under Apptivo’s Invoices app.
- Select the tax codes to map with the Xero codes and click on the Save button to update the mapping.
- Now, the selected Apptivo’s tax code will be mapped with the Xero tax codes.
- Then, go to the Create Invoice page.
- You can view the mapped tax codes while creating or updating the invoice taxes.
- You can also view these mapped and default Xero tax values while converting your invoices.
Exceptional Scenarios 1
- When the Default attribute value for the Tax attribute has been added while customizing the attribute on the Master Layout, that default tax code will be displayed on the Invoice tax code section without a mapping as well.
- If that default tax code(unmapped tax code) is selected and the invoice is created from the Apptivo Invoices app, it will take only the default tax code added for the particular sales account on Xero.
- For Example: In the invoice, you have selected the Sales Account on the Ledger app and selected the Sales tax code of 8.25% as the default tax code on the Xero account then it will take the only the selected default tax code on the Xero account.
Exceptional Scenarios 2
- When the Default tax code is mapped while converting the invoices from estimates, that default tax code also will be displayed on the Invoice tax code section without a mapping.
- If this default tax code(unmapped tax code) is selected and the invoice is created from the Apptivo invoices app, it will take only the default tax code added for the particular sales account on Xero.
Exceptional Scenarios 3
- When the Default tax code is added for a particular line item, you can view the line item default code also will be visible on the Invoice tax code drop-down without mapping.
- If this default tax code(unmapped tax code) is selected and the invoice is created from the Apptivo invoices app, it will take only the default tax code added for the particular sales account on Xero.
