How do I Customize Cases Conversion?

Customizing Cases App conversion features is a prominent feature that allows you to convert the cases into Project and Work order. Once you convert the cases to a project or work order, you need to give access privilege to the members so they can access the cases. Lets go through the following steps to make the concept clear.

Steps to Customize Cases Conversion

  1. Log in and access Cases App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on “More” icon and select “Settings” from the app header bar.
  3. Click on “Cases” drop down and select “Conversion” from the left navigation panel. 
  4. In conversation dashboard, You can view “Project” and “Work order”.
  5. By default, all conversion will be in “Show” Status.
  6. You can hide any conversion by sliding the "Green" button. For Instance: Project.
  7. In converting cases section, you cannot view “To Project” option (Due to “Hide” enabled) as shown below:

Steps to Create Privilege

  1. In Conversion settings dashboard, click on “Create Privilege” to create privilege.
  2. You can view "Create Privilege" popup page, as shown in the image below.
    • Name - Name of the privilege.
    • Description - Description of the privilege.
  3. Click on “Create” button to finish, now created privilege will be listed in the drop down. For instance: Denied Access.
  4. Now you can set this privilege to Conversion. For instance: Project.

Steps to Create Roles and Set App Privilege

  1. Navigate to your Employees App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. In Employees App “Settings”, select “Roles” from the left navigation panel.
  3. Create a role, which you assigned as “Privilege” in Customers Reports settings. (i.e.) “Denied Access”
  4. Add the role to the Super User.
  5. Based on Privilege added, employees(Under super user) will be restricted to convert cases into a project  in Cases App as shown below:
