What Happens when I Email Multiple Recipients with Message Templates?

Communicating with your customers on regular basis is an important activity. Apptivo Leads App provides email templates to send one email to multiple recipients.

When do you send out email to multiple recipients

  • To welcome new leads who have registered in your recent marketing campaign
  • Sending follow-up mails to customers
  • Sending notification emails regarding a forth coming campaign

Why do you use Email Templates

  • Makes work easier. You don't have to type out the contents over and over again.
  • Email templates give a professional touch to the matter
  • Makes the content more enticing than a plain text.
When you email multiple recipients using the message templates, the recipients mentioned in “Bcc” field will receive email copies, which will be equal to the number of recipients mentioned in "To" field.

Let's take a brisk walk through the steps to Email Multiple Recipients.

Steps to Email Multiple Recipients

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on “Emails” from the left navigation panel.
  3. Click on option, to compose new mail.
  4. Fill in the following details:
    • From - Your email account address or authenticated email addresses.
    • To – Recipient Address. Start typing in field it will auto suggest the existing email addresses (such as Contacts, Customers, Leads).
    • Add cc - copy of an email with the knowledge of other recipients.
    • Add bcc - Carbon copy of an email, without recipients knowledge.
    • Associated with – You can add the association for an email. By default, an Employee who composes an email will be associated.
    • Template - Select the template that you would like to use.compose-email
  5. You can view the mail which is composed with selected template as shown in the image above:
  6. Click on “Send” button.
    For instance:
    You are providing two email id's in the "To" field, abc@gmail.com, xyz@yahoo.com and in the “Bcc” you are entering one recipient. So the recipient mentioned in “Bcc” field will receive the email two times in the same thread.
