How do I Edit Communication Fields?

Communication is an integral part of any business irrespective of its size. You should be able to contact your clients effortlessly. For that you should know a customer's preferred mode of communication. It could be email, telephone, fax and so on.

Customers, Contacts, Leads app allows you to create your own custom communication fields for your business. These fields can be edited at the field level.

Steps to Edit Communication Fields

  1. Log in and access Contacts App from your universal navigation menu bar. 
  2. Click on “More” icon  and select “Settings” settings located at the app header bar. 
  3. Select "Contacts" drop down. Click on “Communication” from left navigation panel. 
  4. You can view communication types such as phone, email and address. 
  5. Click on the field name. For example: We are editing “Fax” in “Phone Types”. 
  6. You can view the pretty edit field which allows to edit field name as shown in the image below:

Positioning the Fields

You can also change the communication alignment in types, drag the fields you would like to change the location.

  1. Mouse over on your field, you can view the mouse pointer with tool tip “Drag and Drop”. 
  2. Drag the field as per your need. 
  3. All your changes will be updated automatically.

This feature is quite common for Customers App also. Follow the same steps to edit and change position for communication fields.
