How do I Customize Work Orders Number Generation?

In the Work Orders App, you can generate the work order number automatically by customizing the settings. However, you can also enter the Work Orders number manually.

Let’s go through the following steps.

Steps to Customize Work Order Number Generation

• Login and access the Work Orders app from the universal menu.
• Click on the More(...) icon and selects the Settings.

• In the Settings page, click on the Work Orders → Number Generation → Work Order.
• Enable the Toggle to automatically generate the number while creating Work Orders.

• After enabling the toggle, you can set the Prefix as WO_.
• Then, you can set the Starting number for the Work Orders by using the Starts With.
• You can also manually provide custom numbers by disabling"Auto Generate".
• The changes will be saved automatically.

• Now, go and create the Work Orders. You can view the Work Orders number as per your customization.
