How do I Add Custom Attributes to Invoice Lines?

You can create custom attributes at both the header level and the line level. The header level attributes are common helps to gain more information regarding the details about the customers. The line-level attributes support you define more information about the items/services.

Steps to Add Custom Attributes at Line Level

  • Log in and access the Invoices App from your universal navigation menu.
  • Click on the “More” icon and select "Settings".
Invoices

  • Click on the “Customize App” drop-down and select "Master Layout" from the left navigation panel.
Settings

  • If you are a standard plan user, then you need to upgrade your account to use this feature. It would be notified.
Premium

  • In Master Layout there are three tabs "Palette", Inspector" and "Revision".
  • Drag and drop the necessary attributes into the desired sections also can add new sections.
  • Add Custom sections and attributes from the "Palette" dashboard.
Sections

  • After adding attributes into the section, you will rename custom sections and fields in line level from the "Inspector" dashboard.
Inspector Tab

  • Then, add the Number and Currency attribute from the attributes section and change the name of the attributes in the Inspector tab.
  • Click on the "Save" button to update the changes made in the master layout.
Save

  • Revision tab allows you to view the past changes made in the Master Layout and also we can restore that revision.
Revision

  • You can view the created section and the attributes in the invoice creation page.
