You can update your project's milestone information quickly using the edit function. You cannot edit and update the start date and end date of the milestone on the overview page.
In order to update milestone duration, you need to update task duration. This is because the milestone's start date and end date are driven by task dependencies.
Steps to edit a milestone
- Log in and access the Projects app from your universal navigation menu bar.
- Select a project that you would like to update. Click on "More Details(...)".
- The project's overview page can be seen. Click on the "Milestones" tab.
- Click on the “More Details” icon near a milestone to be edited.
- You can view the "Milestone overview"page, in which modify:
- Name - Name of the milestone.
- Description - Description of the milestone.
- Status - Status of a milestone.
- Place the cursor on the field to edit the information.
- In order to change the milestone duration, you need to update the task start date and end date.
- Now, you can view the updated task End date on the view page of the milestone.
