How to configure Reference App Field in the Follow-Up App?

Incorporating customer reference details into follow-up records can greatly enhance customer interactions, streamline communication, and elevate the overall customer experience. The "Reference App Field" attributes are specialized field types that enable you to automatically retrieve the necessary information based on the associated record. This functionality empowers you to effortlessly access relevant customer, contact, Lead and other app’s references.

Steps to Configure the Reference App Field
  • Go to the “Follow-up” App.
  • Click on More(...)Icon → Settings → Customize App → Master Layout.
  • In the Master Layout, Under the “Palette” Section, Drag and Drop the “Reference App Field” Attribute in the desired location.
  • Rename the “Reference App Field” Based on your preferences.
  • While scrolling down, one can view the “Reference Field details” Section.
  • You can choose the “Reference type” as Assigned To or App from the dropdown.
  • By selecting “Assigned To", You can get the References details of the Assigned employee.
  • By selecting the “App” , You can get and view the reference details from the apps which is asscoatied with the follow-up.
  • Say for instance, If you want to view the “Project status” in the follow-up.
  • In the Reference Field details section, select the Project App and choose status attribute.
  • Click on “Save” Button.
  • Now Go to “Create Follow up” and click it to add the follow -up details.
  • Under the “App” Field, Select the project.
  • Click on the “Create” Button.
  • By selecting the Project name, the project status will get updated automatically in the Ref App Field - Project Details.
