Keep an ordered pattern of your clients' information by defining the industries of your clients when you create the entries in your CRM. Defining Industries will benefit you as you go through the marketing and sales processes. You could sort out which industries favor your goods and services with ease. With Apptivo, you can quickly and easily establish parent and child industries and apply them to your data. Different industries are provided by default, you could create or customize them as per your business requirements. The Industries will be available in the Contacts, Customers, and Leads app.

To Create Industries in the Contacts app:

Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings from the app header.

On the settings page, go to Contacts → Industries, and click on the Create button to create the Parent Industry.

On the create industry pop-up, define the Name and Description of the industry and click on the Create button as shown below.

Now to create a child industry, click on the “+” icon which is against the Parent industry under Actions.

Provide the Name and Description for the child industry and click on the Create Industry button.

Now you have created the Parent and Child industries in your Apptivo account. Which will be available across all the apps which have industries.

For instance, I’ve created a new industry “Agriculture” in the Contacts App. You could see the created industry will also be available in other apps like Customers App.
