A Patent is a right provided to an inventor to prevent others from selling, using, or making the patented invention without permission. The Patents app allows you to create your own patent type based on your requirements. Let’s go through the steps to create a patent type in the Patents app.
Steps to configure
- Log in and access the Patents app from the universal navigation bar.
- Select Settings from the App Header.
- From the Settings page, click on the Patents → Patent Types from the left navigation panel.
- Click on the Create button to create a new Patent Type.
- On the Create Patent Type pop-up window, enter the Name and Description of the Patent type.
- Click on the Create button.
- Now, on the home page, you can view the created Patent Type from the By Type dropdown.
- On the Create Patent page, you can view the created patent type under the Patent Type dropdown list.
