How to add the filter option for search and select popup?

Apptivo apps allow you to search the records depending on your needs. It allows you to search by specific data or with all options available in the multi-select field. It also allows you to add the filters for the multi-select attributes even on the search and select pop-up for the reference field as well.

Let’s go through the following steps to add the filters for the multi-select field for the reference app field on the search and select window.

Steps to add Multi Select Field

  • Login and access the Opportunities app from your navigation panel.
  • Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.

  • From the Settings page, go to the Customers Master Layout.
  • Drag and drop Multi Select attribute and rename it as Opportunities Categories.

  • Enable the Filter option on the Inspector tab and click on the Save button to update the changes.

Steps to add Ref app field on customers

  • Go to the Customers app’s Master Layout and drag and drop the ref app field.

  • Rename the Ref app field as Opportunities app and select the opportunity app in the Ref app section.
  • Click on the Save button to save the changes.

  • Then, go to create customer page and click on the Search icon on the added ref app field.

  • In the Search and Select popup, you can view the added multi select attribute with the added filter attribute.
