What is the difference between configuring the default home page from the Preferences and the Employees app of Apptivo?

Apptivo allows its users to easily set a particular application as the home page. This can be customized from the Preferences page available in the User Menu and also from the Employees app of Apptivo. Now, you might be wondering what is the difference between these two options.

Configuring in the Preferences Page

• All the users of Apptivo can effortlessly set a particular application as the home page from the Preferences page. The changes made will be present only for the user who has made the changes.

• This can be updated from User Menu → Preferences → Customize Home.

Configuring in the Employee's App

• The superuser can select a particular application as the default app for a user from the Employees app. Navigate to the overview page of an employee for whom you want to set the default home page.

• Scroll down to the Enabled Apps section. Here, you can set up the default home page for an employee.
