How to update the Date & Time field by using the trigger update attribute action?

Apptivo apps allow you to automate the update of a custom added date and time attribute by using the Triggers action.
Let’s go through the steps to update the Date and Time field by using the Time-Based Tiggers.
Steps to add a Date field
- Login and access the Cases app from the Universal Menu.
- Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.
- From the Settings page, click on the Customize app and select Master Layout.
- On the Master Layout, drag and drop the Date attribute from the palette section.
- Click on the Added date attribute to view the inspector tab on the right side.
- In the Inspector tab, you can customize the properties of attributes.
- Rename the attribute and change the type of the date attribute to the Date & Time.
- Click on the Save button to update the action.
Steps to update Triggers
- Now, click on the Cases dropdown on the Settings and selects the Triggers → Time Based.
- From the Time-Based Triggers page, click on the Create to create a new trigger.
- Add a name for the trigger in the Create Trigger page.
- Enable the toggle to keep the trigger active.
- Select whether the trigger is one time or recurring.
- Here, the One Time trigger is chosen along with the trigger date and time. The date and time are set as Feb 08, 2021, at 10 AM.
- In the Criteria section, the condition is set to generate a trigger if the Cases status is Closed.
- Select the Actions dropdown and select the Update attribute action.
- In the Create Trigger Action side panel, select the added date field from the update attribute dropdown.
- You can view the added Date attribute.
- Then, click on the Create to complete the configuration.
- You can view the created action and click on the Create button.
- Once the Case status changed to Closed, the Date field will be updated automatically.
