How are due dates calculated in the Invoice app?
Updated on December 11, 2020 05:35AM by Admin
The due date of the invoices is calculated automatically based on the payment term selected while creating or editing an invoice. Depending on the payment term, the due date is recorded by default. The Due Date field not editable.
Steps to change the due date
- Connect to your Apptivo account and go to the Invoice app. Here, select create to create a new invoice.
- In the Create Invoice page, the Due Date field is not editable. It is calculated from the Invoice Date depending on the Payment Term.
- Here, the Invoice Date is 12/10/2020 and the Payment Term is Net 30. Hence, the Due Date is automatically calculated to 30 days from the Invoice Date which is 01/09/2020.
- Now, the Payment Term is changed to Net 45 and hence the Due Date is also changed accordingly.
- The Payment Term field is configured from Settings → Payments → Payment Terms. Along with creating new payment terms, you can also edit existing payment terms.
