How do I create a note with employee information in Employees App?

The Employees App of Apptivo enables you to create notes by populating values from the overview page of an employee record with the assistance of the Mapping feature. By this, you can map the values present in the fields of an employee with the fields present in the notes.

Note: This feature is available in the Ultimate and Enterprise plans of Apptivo.

Steps to map the attributes of Employees with Notes

  • Log into your Apptivo account and navigate to the Employees App. In the Employees App, select Settings.
  • On the Settings page, go to Collaboration. Navigate to Notes.

  • Here, enable Map and set your own pre-defined values while creating Notes toggle. Now, select Mapping.

  • You will be redirected to Employees → Notes Mapping Fields. Here, map the required fields. Here, the Manager and Tags fields of Employees App are mapped with the Shared With and Tags fields of the notes.

  • On clicking Update, the changes are saved.

  • Now, go to the overview page of an employee.

  • Switch to the Notes tab and select Create.
  • The fields in the Create Note window will have the values as per the configuration.
