How to import records in a Custom app in Apptivo?

The App Builder in Apptivo enables you to create your custom apps from scratch. You can also create a new app as an extension of your existing app. In the custom app, you can import your records effortlessly in CSV format.
Steps to import records
- Log in and access a Custom app from the App Builder. Here, Tickets App.
- Click on the More icon from the App Header and select Import.
- You will be redirected to the Import page. Here, you can import data from a CSV file.
- Select the Import button.
- The import function is a 4 step process. The first step is to Choose Data. Here, you can determine whether to add new records or update the existing records.
- Browse and add the CSV file to the Tickets App.
- Click the Next button.
- The next step is Map Fields. Here, you can choose the date format. Select the attributes that you would like to group from the Grouping Attributes dropdown.
- Map ticket fields to respective CSV fields as shown in the below instance. Make sure to map the custom mandatory fields. You can also choose to not import certain fields.
- After mapping all fields, hit the Import button to import records.
- Once you are done with mapping, the next step is Validations. Click Proceed on each validation.
- You will be notified if there are any error records added. You can choose to correct them or click Add to exceptions & proceed.
- Once the complete validation is finished, you will be navigated to the import page. Here, you can see the import details. Select Start Import.
- You will be navigated to the Completed CSV Imports page. Here, you can view the import details.
- Once the import is complete, the status will change as complete. You will also receive an email notification.
- The imported records will be added to your Custom App. Here, Tickets App.
