How do I automatically associate the activities of a Reference App in the Contacts App of Apptivo?

While linking a record from any other App to the Contacts App of Apptivo, you can also associate it with the activities in the Contacts App. This can be achieved by following the below steps.

  • Log into your Apptivo account and navigate to the Contacts App in the CRM section. Select the Settings option from the App Header.

  • Once you are directed to the Settings page, go to Settings → Customize App → Master Layout.

  • In the Master Layout page, you can select any ref app field. It can be an already existing Ref App field or a custom created Ref App Field.
  • Click on it to manage its corresponding Inspector tab.

  • In the Inspector tab, scroll down to the Collaboration Auto Association section. This section lists the activities available in Apptivo like Notes, Tasks, Event, Call Log, and Emails.

  • Enable the toggle for the activities with which the customer is to be associated in the Contacts App.
  • Here, the toggle is enabled for Notes activity. Save the changes.

  • Create a Contact in the Contacts App of Apptivo and associate a customer, Anny to the contact.

  • Now, create Notes from the Notes tab of the contact. On selecting create, you can see the Customer is associated with the note automatically.

  • This doesn’t happen with other activities as the toggle is not enabled in the Master Layout of the Contacts App.
