How do I make the Loss Reason as Mandatory fields in Opportunities App?

Opportunities App from Apptivo is one of the most important apps in the sales process. With that, you can collect and create opportunities automatically by the emails you receive. Tracking the Loss reason is also the most important part of the sales, so you can get a clear view of why sales or opportunities are lost. It helps you to analyze and review the sales performance. In addition, you can make these fields mandatory.
Let's consider, Clay Jenson is a Sales Manager and he wants to track the sales performance of their team members. And he wants to know the reason for the opportunities lost so that he will get a clear idea about where to concentrate improvise the sales. Please follow the steps on how to make the Loss Reason and the Addition Details as to the Mandatory fields when the sales stage is changed to Closed Lost.
Steps to Enable the Loss Opportunities
- Login and access the Opportunities App from the Universal Menu.
- Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.
- Click on the Customize App on the left panel and select the Master Layout.
- In the Master Layout - Opportunity, click on the Hierarchial View.
- In the Hierarchial View, scroll to the view the Opportunity Loss Reason Details.
- Enable the Toggle to view the Loss Reason Details in the Opportunity App.
- After enabling the Toggle, click on the Web/Tablet view to view the Opportunity Loss Reason Details in the Master Layout.
- Scroll down to view the Opportunity Loss Reason Details.
- Click on the Loss Reason Attribute, you will navigate to the Inspector tab on the right side.
- Scroll down the Inspector Tab to view the Mandatory Section.
- Enable the Toggle to make the Loss Reason attribute Mandatory.
- By enabling the Mandatory Toggle, you can view the Condition Toggle.
- Enable the Toggle, set the condition for the Mandatory.
- Here, when the Sales Stage is Closed Lost then the Loss Reason should be Mandatory.
- Select the Sales Stage in the Driving Attribute and Closed Lost in the Driving Value.
- Click on the Addition Details Attribute, you will be navigated the attribute properties in the Inspector Tab.
- Scroll down the Inspector tab to view the Mandatory section.
- Enable the Toggle to make the Additional Details Mandatory.
- By enabling the Mandatory Toggle, you can view the Condition Toggle.
- Enable the Toggle, set the condition for the Mandatory.
- Here also, when the Sales Stage is Closed Lost then the Additional Details should be Mandatory.
- Select the Sales Stage in the Driving Attribute and Closed Lost in the Driving Value.
- Save the Changes.
- Now, when you try to change the Opportunites status to Closed Lost and save the change you will be notified with the popup to fill the Mandatory Fields.
- Click ok, you will be redirected to the Opportunity Loss Reason Details section to fill the Details.
- Fill the Loss Reason and Addition Details and Save.
- You can view the Loss Reason in the Opportunity Overview page.
