How to set a discount for an Estimate in Apptivo?

You can set a discount for your Estimates using the discount feature provided by the Estimates App. Discounts help businesses to enhance customer relationships. You can also give a discount to attain sales goals.

Navigate to Settings → Estimate→ Discount in the Estimates App.

Estimates App offers three types of features with respect to Discounts.

• No Discount

This option removes the discount field from the Estimate. When an Estimate is generated, you will not have an option to provide discounts to the customers.

• At Estimate Header

This feature adds the discount attribute at the Estimate Header. Here, the discount can be added to the Estimate details section.

• At Estimate Line

This feature adds the discount attribute at the Estimate Line. For instance, if the Estimate is created for Items purchased, then the discount option is available in the Items table.

Types of Discounts

Estimates App allows you to provide discounts in two forms.

• Percentage
• Fixed

If the Percentage is chosen, then you can subtract a particular percentage of the amount from the Estimate.

If Fixed is selected, then you can deduct the prescribed amount from the Estimate.

For Instance: Let us consider creating a fixed discount for an Estimate.

In the Estimates App, select Create to create a new Estimate for Items. In the Estimates page, you can see the discount feature is added to the Estimate header. Here, the fixed amount is set as 75$.

Once the item details are added, you can see the Estimate amount at the bottom of the page. The total amount is generated by deducting the discount.
