How to map the attributes from the Opportunities App to Orders App?

Converting records present in one App to another app is a great tool to solve the problem of time consumption that arises due to recording the same data again. To simplify your work, Apptivo has introduced Custom Conversions. You can convert your records from the Opportunities App to Orders App. The added benefit is you get to decide what attributes have to be converted to the Orders App.

• Go to Settings in the Opportunities App → Opportunities → Conversion → Custom Conversion. Here, select Mapping to choose the attributes.

• Select the Mapping option of the Orders App to redirect to the Mapping page and select the attributes for conversion.

• In the Mapping field, you can see Emails and Notes are enabled for association with the Orders App. I have also mapped the Close date with the Ordered date along with the ‘Assigned to’ to Sales Rep.

• Hence, the other values will not be mapped when conversion takes place.

• Similarly, you can also map the table present in the Opportunities App with Orders App. Here, Item Name and Quantity are mapped. Save the mapping once the attributes are linked.

• You will receive a notification once the mapping is complete.

• Go to Show All in Opportunities App and select a record to convert.

• Select Convert → To Orders from the Overview page to convert the record.

• On conversion, you will be redirected to the Create Order page. Here, the selected attribute’s value will be mapped in the Orders record.

• You can add other values to the Create Orders page and save the record.

Converting Multiple Times

Custom Conversion has a feature that allows conversion of a record multiple times.

Instance 1: When Allow Conversion Multiple Times is turned ON in the Opportunities App.

The record which has already been converted can be converted again. Here, the record Federer is already converted to Orders App.

When the conversion process is selected, you can convert it again to Orders App.

Instance 2: When Allow Conversion Multiple Times is turned OFF in the Opportunities App.

The record which has already been converted cannot be converted again. Here, the record Federer is already converted to Orders App.

When the conversion process is selected, you cannot convert it again to an Order.
