Apptivo provides the Multi-select dropdown in all Apps where you can select more than one option. You can customize it according to your business needs. By default, you can select only one option from the provided drop-down. (For example, You can select only a single category from Customer Information in Customers App). So, by using this Multi-select dropdown, you can select your needed choices.
For instance: Consider Candidates App where you want to list out the skills known to the candidates who are applying for a job in your organization. In this case, you can add the Skills known field as a Multi-select dropdown giving various skills where Candidates can select their known skills from the given dropdown.
Steps to Configure Multi-Select dropdown
- Login and access to Candidates App from the Universal navigation menu.
- Click on the More(...) icon and select the Settings.
- You will be directed to the Settings page. Go to Customize Apps and select the Master Layout from the left panel.
- Drag the Multi-Select attribute and drop in the place where you needed it. Here, dropped the attribute in Candidate information.
- On clicking on the field name, you can see the Inspector Tab where you can rename the Attribute name as Skills Known.
- Scroll down the Inspector tab until you reach the Value section. You can add the skills simultaneously.
- Click on the Save button to make the changes get updated.
- Now, move on to Candidates App homepage and click on the Create button to create a new candidate.
- You can view the Skills Known field drop-down where you can select your known skills.
- Provide with necessary details and click on the Create button to create a new Candidate.
