How do I Customize Credit Note Types?

A Credit Note is a commercial document issued by the seller to the buyer. The seller usually issues the credit note for the same or lower amount than invoice, and then repays the amount to the buyer or sets it off against a balance due from other transactions.

The credit note type helps you to categorize and segment Credit notes so you can determine the proper plan of action to address each credit note.

Steps to Customize Credit Note Types

  • Login and access the Credit Notes App from the Universal navigation menu bar.
  • Click on the More(...) icon and select the Settings.

  • In the Settings page, click on the Credit Notes and selects the Credit Note Types.

  • Credit Note Types page will be opened. 
  • Click on Create button to create a new credit note type.

  • By clicking on the Create button, the Create Credit Note Type popup will appear.
  • Enter the Type name and the Description of the Credit Note.
  • Then, click on the Create button to proceed.

  • The Credit note type will get created and added to the list.
Note Created

  • By default, All the credit note types will be Enabled. 
  • You can Disable or Edit the created credit note types using disable or edit icon under the Actions.

  • You can view the created Credit Note Type while creating the Credit Note.
