How do I Customize Opportunity Amount in Opportunities App?

The Amount field in Opportunities app can be customized.  The user has two options

  1. Entered Manually (The value will be entered manually by the user)
  2. Rolled up from the items (The amount would be auto-populated.) 
Click on the Settings, go to Opportunities->Opportunities Amount. Click against the radio button of your choice.

Go through the following steps to understand the concept better.

Steps to Customize Opportunity Amount
  1. Log in and access Opportunities App from your universal navigation menu bar.
  2. Click on "More" icon and select “Settings” located at app header bar.

  3. Select “Opportunity Amount” under “Opportunities” drop down from the left navigation panel.

  4. The Opportunity Amount view page will be displayed.

  5. Here, the opportunity amount field at the opportunity level can be either rolled up from the value of the items included in the opportunity or manually entered.
    • Entered Manually - On selecting this, the opportunity amount will be entered manually. So, you can enter the amount manually in the creation page.

    • Rolled up from Items - On selecting this, the opportunity amount will be auto-populated from the items selected. You’ll be restricted to enter manually.
