How to set up visibility conditions on customers?

Using the Master Layout feature, It’s possible to set Visibility Conditions for the fields in the Customers app. You can set Visibility to a specific field using the Set Criteria option, where you can define the condition to show or hide the particular field.

Steps to configure

  • Log in and access the Customers App from the universal navigation bar.
  • Select Settings from the App Header.

  • From the Settings page, click on the Customize App → Master Layout → Customers from the left navigation panel.
  • Click on a field to set visibility conditions. Here, select the Tags field.
  • On the right-hand side, you can see the Inspector column, in which you can find the field properties.
  • To set visibility, enable the Visibility toggle to On.

  • Click on the Set Criteria button.

  • Here, the condition is that the Tags field is set to be visible when the Category field is equal to Premium customer.
  • Click on the OK button.

  • Click on the Save button to save the changes.

  • Now, on the Create Customer page, when you select Category as Standard the Tags field will not be visible.

  • Hence, if you select Category as a Premium customer, you can view the Tags field.
