You can sort the contact records based on the date of creation. You can view the result in ascending order or descending order. You can sort contacts using the “Created On” field. If the field is not available in your current layout, you can add the field using the List Layout feature. Let’s go through the steps to sort contacts by created date in the Contacts app.
Steps to add the Created On field
- Log in and access the Contacts app from the universal navigation bar.
- Select Settings from the App Header.
- From the Settings page, click on the Customize App → List Layout from the left navigation panel.
- Here, select the Please Choose dropdown.
- Select the Additional Information → Created On from the dropdown to add the field to the selected layout.
Step to sort Contacts
- On the Contacts page, you can view the Created On field.
- Click on the sort icon next to the field name.
- You can view the result in ascending order or descending order depending on your choice.
