If you have created custom fields in Contacts App for your convenience, it’s natural that you would want to secure the critical data from the prying eyes. This is possible in Apptivo CRM. Unless and until you give the other users of your team the access privilege, the custom fields cannot be accessed or seen.
Let’s go through the steps to secure custom fields.
Steps to Secure Custom Fields
- Log in and access Contacts App from your universal navigation menu.
- Click on the More(...) icon and select Settings.
- Click on the Customize App dropdown and select the Master Layout from the left navigation panel in the Settings.
- Drag and drop the custom attribute from the Palette.
- Click on the attribute, you will be navigated to the Inspector tab.
- Scroll down to the Inspector tab to view the Security Field in the custom fields section as shown in the image below:
- Slide the toggle button to enable security.
- Give the privilege to view and edit access.
- You can also create new privileges by clicking on Add New.
- If the employee does not have access, they couldn’t view the field.
