You can create custom attributes at both the header level and the line level. The header level attributes are common helps to gain more information regarding the details about the customer. The line-level attributes support you define the more information about the items/services.
Steps to Create Custom Attributes in Estimates
- Login and access the Estimates App from the universal app.
- Click on the More(...) icon and select the Settings.
- On the Settings page, click on the Customize app and select the Master Layout.
- If you are a standard plan user, then you need to upgrade your account to use this feature. It would be notified as below:
- For instance: The user wants to add a number attribute and set that name as Freight Charge.
- Drag the number attribute from the "Palette" tab and drop it to the respective place which would you like to place.
- The number attribute has been placed. Now, you can change the attribute name using the "Inspector" tab.
- Select the attribute which will you want to change the name. Here, we are selecting the dragged attribute.
- Once selected the attribute, automatically Inspector tab will be shown. From it, select the "Name" field and change the name of the attribute.
- As per our necessity, changed the name as "Freight Charges".
- Then, click on the Save button to save the changes.
- The Changes will be reflected in the creation and overview page of an estimate.
