What fields, like birthday & email, are synced with the Google Contacts Sharing app?

Glad you asked this question. As you know, Apptivo has an app on the G Suite Marketplace which lets you share contacts between users of your domain (using the Gmail interface), and keep all contact data in sync with your CRM system. This is a bi-directional sync, so any changes you make in Google will reflect in Apptivo, and any changes made in Apptivo will also refelct for all employees in Google.

Do all fields sync between my crm and G Suite?

No, although most default fields available in Google do sync with Apptivo. Apptivo has many additional fields which do not sync with Google.

What contact attributes are synced between Google & Apptivo?

Many of you have asked what syncs from Google to Apptivo and Apptivo to Google. See the chart below to understand which fields/attributes actually sync over and which don't. Please note that certain fields can sync from Google to Apptivo, but this data may not be displayed inside of Apptivo.... also, some fields will store in Apptivo, but cannot sync back to your Gmail interface.

Note:

1. If a contact is updated with Customer from Apptivo, customer name will be updated as Company name in google. (In this case Company name can be updated only from Apptivo)
2. ^If a contact is not associated with a customer in Apptivo and the user provides a Company name in Google, the company name will sync to all Google users but will be hidden in Apptivo. In this case, company name can only be updated in Google and not from Apptivo.
3. ^For Email, Phone and fax. If the first field is empty, Apptivo will display the second field. Example: If work email is not available, home email will display.

What about custom attributes, do they sync?

At this time we don't support any sync for custom attributes that you create within Apptivo. Only the fields listed above will sync.
