Yes, you can move the milestone from one project to another project at the time of creating the project from an existing project. When you create the project from another project you can make use of same milestones. This serves as the progress markers for the current project too. Linking Milestones together in this way allows other members of the project team to easily see which part of the project their tasks relate to.
